LTA is good at putting people with zero technical competency behind roles that require domain knowledge. This is worsened with the many re-org done lately. Its so painful to have meeting and consultation with them.

Complain here also no use. The engineers, managers and directors are still getting paid big fat MAC and PBs. Lol. We are used to driving so we are not affected by the loss of service.

Hi, I am a female with 2 year consultancy exp and got offered 4.9k at LTA as an Exe Project Engineer. Is it decent or no? As i saw some people in the thread getting like 5k+ as an EE, not sure if its because NS benefit plays a big part thus the difference.

Yes NS plays a part for males but the difference is less than 300. Is your experience relevant?

I think there are more bonuses compared to private firms. So your annual compensation should be more. The amount is actually okay.

I see, thank you! I assume the annual package in LTA is around 14-15 months (?) and average increment 3-5%? Do you also know how many years does it typically take to promote from one position to another?

15-16 mths on average. 13 mths inclusive of AWS + 1.5 mths PB for average performer + ~ 1 mth of mid yr and yr end bonus + 1-2 mth MAC for engineers
Executive to senior engineer takes 2 to 5 yrs. 2 yrs for scholars 3 to 5 yrs for farmers.
