Default IMDA Secondment BAD, Transfer as Perm…WORST CASE

IMDA accepts imbecile ppl into the org, for whatever reasons.

And these are ppl at least know some IT, tech, or something, but these are people just trying to please these bosses. There are many examples of such people in IMDA, and they are useless, and they just work their subordinates to the bones.
For e.g. SS who has been mentioned, SS headed construction tech, but SS know nuts about Construction in Singapore.

IMDA HR…. That’s the worst…. They are there to get bonuses. Give them hard time, ask to have their supervisor to be involved EVERYTIME. There is no use to talk to the HR personnel assigned to you, ask for the his/ her RO, even better, get the Director or CEO… That’s how USELESS IMDA HR is

Welp... some animals are more equal than others.
Disgusting. No shame this people. Scholars and parachutees milking the system unchecked. Future Iswarans. Pui.

SDO was created by the previous CE TKH towards the end of his stint in IMDA. It was merely a wayang project to ensure that IMDA remains on the radar, but nonetheless had the full backing of the man at the top. Unfortunately, its launch coincided with the election and TKH had to leave in order to stand for election. As a result, SDO became an unwanted child. LCH doesn't pay much attention to it as it's not his pet project anyway yet he can't shut it down without a valid reason. So it continues to exist in IMDA but without much purpose or love. And as its generic name suggests, it doesn't have a USP.

To be fair, I don't think the person charged the holiday portion of hotel stay to IMDA. It was more about the rule that your trip extension can only be up to half the no. of days of official travel, and a fairly new person being given this kind of opportunity plus getting approval for the deviation.

Was this before or after The Man clamped down on travel?

It's nice to have some time during a work trip to look around the area, especially if you are just a junior person that doesn't get to travel much. But I don't know where the lines are anymore. There was a time when I needed a D that was on work trip overseas, to review work urgently before it could go up to The Man. This was during working hours and there was no response from the D. Why? Staffer told me that D was shopping.
