Forgot to add... fairly new person with no prior experience in the area.

He's nothing compared to his predecessor HL. That guy came from private sector and left for private sector. If KK was so good, he wouldn't need to wear a "glamorous" DCE designation while relying on the gov for his wages. Oh and he always like to take smoke breaks, pay him so much to relax at ground floor

Then you should fkin tell him/her about it before she went on the trip.
Here you are expecting your boss to follow your working hours. If he/she is in the USA then what? Wake up at 2am to clear your "urgent" work?
No wonder IMDA so cui cause the staff just don't understand the importance of planning ahead. Expecting their boss who is overseas on a work trip to somehow be available all the time for them.
Please just close down IMDA.

The D was aware of this piece of work and the deadlines, and it was a country in nearly the same time zone dummy btw your flailing rants against posters in this thread are rather amusing, keep it up!

You ask where is the line. Quite obviously it's between you scholar or non scholar. If you reading this before interview ask HR how many scholars in the team. More than two then you better run far ha!

It's quite entertaining that this person feels such a strong constant urge to criticise posters and defend people in leadership roles, and then end with statements advocating for the shutting down of IMDA.

You got it wrong. "Where the lines are" refers to work vs play during working hours when on overseas work trips.
