With CC this kind of people in charge of recruitment, IMDA has regressed from a talent pool to a talent puddle. Any shih tzu, pomeranian, husky or german shepherd also can be hired as long as they know how to wag their tails when in front of their masters.

I can feel the abject terror radiating over the wires through my Skype chats, and every casual question about a piece of work is met with a pregnant pause as IMDA colleagues do some mental gymnastics to try and fathom if what they're going to tell me will land them in purgatory. These are mostly decent people I am dealing with, so it's a real pity to see them reduced to jelly at the thought of 'The Man' (an epithet which already sent my eyes rolling to the back of my head).
This culture of fear is patently unhealthy and I'm not sure what keeps many IMDA staff going. From what I know, the hours are long, and respect for staff is in short supply. I expect it's the relatevely decent pay, but even so, my sympathies.

Wow didn't know that 'The Man' at the top is such a fierce, narcissistic alpha that can induce unnecessary fear in grown men. I thought micromanagers like him are the insecure types, and act like a tough alpha for show only.
Additionally being the CE, he so damn free to micromanage every single minion's work meh? He don't need to cast visions, strategise, etc, do whatever that a CEO is supposed to do?
Dept Director's supervision & approval of work deemed not good enough for his 'lofty' standards?!

CC def does not seem to have the experience, skills or knowledge. What she does is parrot and wag and act like she does a lot. Blind leading the blind. Only empty talks on employer branding.
What has the HR team done to improve IMDA branding? This forum just shows how screwed up the agency is. These HR people are just commanding high salary (ADs earn a lot in IMDA). Shouting architects of digital future (gags) is a laughing stock. The HR team needs to be overhauled.

Welp... some animals are more equal than others.

Actually, could anyone share the pay range for AD? As a poor MX have heard a lot about IMDA's pay but never knew the amounts.

Why Michelia Hui joined as Acting Deputy Director in HR? Not good enough to be an official DD?

Thanks! Whoa so V is already AD and already getting this at 33? We all knew already, but it certainly pays to be a 'scholar' (sorry hate calling them that as they aren't scholars in any sense of the word).
