Some of them really needed to be called out. Not to promote cyberbully generally but I felt that they had went overboard not once but many times.. and they think no one can do anything to them..keeping quiet about their doings will just result to even more victims. So, I agree with slapping them back to make them know how it felt.

With such thinking, you know why IMDA HR name is being called out here. Go back and ask your HR management lecturer what is the right scope of HR.

GovTech - software development

CPF - (self-explanatory)
PUB - water resources
LTA - traffic and roads
But when hiring manager see IMDA, their first thought:"is this the stat board that watch movie and assign ratings?" Damn sian but what to do.

IMDA is well known for being the one that U-turned and banned the black metal band Watain due to "security concerns" which ironically end up making more people know about the band.

it's ironic that he's managing the "development" side when he doesn't even have any real world commercial experience in the private sector

Meanwhile non scholars like me have to beg for legitimate conferences, declined all times so far, and instead asked to choose conferences which are virtual. Ok so biz trip envy? Not quite. The creme de la scholar has been given a fully, choose as you please, hybrid work arrangement. We're all in the same team by the way, and are reminded often to stay the 9 hours and not "abuse" the hybrid arrangement. As a result, hires from industry come, kick a$$, get bonuses and bounce. I'm preparing my bounce pad too. Hopefully you fellow non-scholar peasants are smart and capable enough to follow this trajectory too. Else accept your fate and draw that sweet paycheck every month, waiting for a GenZ scholar takes charge of your appraisal LOL.

I heard of a similar case where a parachutee in your neighbouring team who was about 5 months fresh, was sent to Korea to represent IMDA at a 2-day conference. His family flew over with him, and he stayed on for about a week for personal holiday. People were asking how he got approval to deviate from IMDA travel policy.
Welp... some animals are more equal than others.
