You ask this question once every 5 years - I'm not sure if you're really moving to SG at all. But I'll humor you, s://.taxesforexpats.com/singapore/guide. This is a pretty good guide to reducing the double taxation that you will be subject to.

3.35 million covid cases (highest in the world), 137k deaths (highest in the world), >26 trillion national debt (lol seriously wtf), a racist and bigot for a president, protesting against wearing masks and lockdowns because it iNfRiNgEs YoUr FrEeDoM rIgHtS. Now you're comparing a sg fresh grad's pay to an expat's pay who has years of experience, and everyone knows expats have more generous remuneration packages than locals in any country.
Y'all not just stupid, y'all broke too. 8-15k is probably your salvation at this point.

Ahh man, taxes taxes taxes and again taxes. I actually understand that taxes are actually a great thing for both us, the citizens and the government. However, is it just me, or we are actually paying waaaay to many taxes, we are being taxed for literally anything around, that is really absurd already. I really think that the government is actually exploiting this thing really much, and it has already been for a lot of time, and now it has reached the apogee. I am running a tiny shop, and honestly I am really stuned by the amount of taxes we are paying, and the amount of forms to fill for the tax service is also really great. The form that I hate the most is the 1099 form. It is so freaking annoying. I been using this online editor https://pdfliner.com/form_1099_misc , and thankfully I also found an example of how to fill in that form on the same site.

US taxes its own citizens globally. Think a good rule of thumb will be to just use US taxes as a base case since you willl first pay SG taxes then pay whatever difference between SG taxes and US taxes to the US govt. Given that US taxes > SG taxes, you pretty much will be paying US taxes.
