MX7 and MX9 difference of 2 grades nia. WAH suddenly the salary per annum differs by 600k LOLOLOL
No actually what was posted is somewhat true. Although MX9 and MX7 IS technically only 2 levels different, MX7 usually is DS level and above. We know that senior PS is usually MX5, and their salary package ranges about 1.5mil annually. So it is not wrong to say MX7 getting around 800K annual package.

Sad but true, because not everyone can reach MX7 and below. Probably about 100 - 150 out of the entire 144k public/ civil servants in Singapore. That's why they can justify paying a premium for such "talents". Such is the world of Public Service.

MX7 is definitely very rare for non-scholars, the old birds tell me so far whole of CS only have 2 and 1 is retiring next year. For non-schoars MX9 is already very rare, maybe 1 in 100 deg grads get there.

what's the difference between MX11 / MX11A / MX11B, and which out of these 3 is the highest rank?

thanks.
I think it really depends on your job scope, my colleague was promoted to MX12 in 9 years with only diploma.

MX12 is the standard promotion that deg grads will get after 2 years. What's so fascinating about a diploma grad getting it in 9 years?

no need to put down others just because you are lucky enough to obtain a university degree.

No need to be defensive. I wasn't putting down anyone. The guy on top seem to think a diploma person reaching MX12 in 9 years is worthy of mention, I was just trying to understand why because it sounds pretty standard (ok maybe slightly better than average) now that poly/deg tracks are merged.

I mean MX12 starts from 2.9k based on the salary.sg list, it sounds perfectly normal for a typical diploma grad in public sector to reach at least this sort of pay after working for 9 years right?
