Stat boards are free to set their pay structure. Some adopt civil service norms for simplicity. Some don't to really be on par if
Not better than equivalent pte sector counterpart. Eg, mas vs pte banks

my HR did hint some weeks back that they were doing a salary review. anyways, i read back a few pages and saw that this increment applies only to MX11 and above. my stat board has its own pay scale but i'm an MX12-equivalent, so starting to think my chances of getting an increment are bleak...

So there is no longer a bar in both MX11 and MX11A?
According to the quoted post, the cutoff between 11 & 11A is not set at the bar.

Wouldnt really say this is not a real promo as some (presumably with sour grapes syndrome) have said. It's still another ladder to climb and the increment is real.

Those who did not cross the bar previously remain as mx 11. Those who crossed the bar become mx11a automatically. What used to the mid pt salary bar for mx 11s becomes the new celiling for mx 11s. Mx 11a's ceiling is actually the original ceiling for mx11's adjusted upwards by 5%. No more salary bar for either mx 11 or mx 11a

Huh? Civil service got adjustment this year? I work in one of the largest ministries. Yes, there're unusual lots of HR announcement and circular recently. But it's all about re-org and secondment, nothing on adjustments.

I've recalled. The announced additional increments of $70 & $30 is only for Div3 & 4. Nothing for Div 1 & 2. If there is service wide increments for MX11, alot of officers (the majority of us) should be talking about it at our staff canteen liao (just like in 2012)....
