-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eg, Assume if your basic salary is $5000, then $360 increment will be equivalent to 7.2% increment!!! and that is even only for a "C" grader!!!!!..

Then B and A grade will get 8-9% an 10-12% increment respectively??? That is damn alot!!!!
It really is a lot. I guess that is because this person has taken super high quality zero-error meeting minutes.

Just wanted to ask two questions cause im kinda new to civil service. The following questions are in respect with the job scheme "TSO", Technical Support Officer

(1)Other than D , C- , C, C+, B, A, are there are other performance grades?

(2)What are the various amounts for these gradings? (e.g. 0.85 months)

1) Shld be A, B+, B, C+, C, D and E
2) Base slightly lower than MX e.g. for C = 1.5 (MX), C = 1 (TSO)

But I received 0.85 for "C" in my first year, maybe cause first year so "C" is not at 1 month?

Is that not good enough? Don't forget there's 2-4 months of bonuses every year, and more during election election year.

Yea. It is good. So the glass ceiling is true? I heard some times there will be 6 months.

Decent salary, decent job scope, work life balance..not too bad after all.

Quantum varies across agencies. I quoted earlier 1 for TS and 1.5 for MX is just an example and illustration in general. Generally, the base should be stated in your performance letter.

Default A*Star Expats

Does A*Star pay well? There are employees from overseas working on research and paid condo with 3 sons in International School. These accomodation and the schools will cost around 12k per month before salary.
