This is very shallow thinking. So many people in US, UK, Europe work in big cities such as NY, London and they retire further away IN the same country at cheaper locations. Singapore is so small. We can retire in neighbouring countries. Don’t be naive. Travel the world and observe.

I reached FIRE ten years ago. Have been enjoying a wonderful ten years of retirement.
Now I’m 53. My condo and car are paid up. Just need $3k pm of expenses. Over the past ten years my condo value has gone up.
