I think wait till 35 bid 2 room should be doable. Quantum lower also since you considered earning on the lower side.

You NUS Trainee right? I think just aim non-mature for now, dont be too ambitious. Must know where you stand. 2 room non-mature shld be your goal now.

Then you should have a proper financial planning, so 2 years later you can buy a HDB and have a meaningful life.

We plan to retire at 55. When we reach 55, we will sell our property and downgrade to a cheaper property which we will pay in full cash. We will sell our condo at $1m and then buy a HDB flat at $500k. So we will have $500k cash to spend for our retirement from age 55 to 65. When we reach 65, we have CPF Life. Our annual expenses will not be high as we will cook our meals, do our own household chores, no car and we don’t like to shop for new stuff. We have lots of clothes which can last us for a long time. We enjoy a quiet and modest living.

Are you at the financial security, independence, freedom or abundance level?
