Wondering what happens if you don't pay, they deduct from your salary?

What's the new policy? Cannot claim post call on weekends ah. How about just rounding or going to work on Sat/Sun morning for call.

Mohh have no right to take our measly grab allowance while we're on the covid frontline, it's senior mgmt standard have dropped with very serious lapses under their watch.

Back in the days when we were fighting SARS, it was ironically much better managed despite it being our first pandemic. What changed?

“Any person with a positive PCR, or polymerase chain reaction, swab must be assumed to be infectious and immediately isolated”, Dr Lim added.

Dr Lim was referring to a 43 year-old Indian expat on Work Pass who arrived in Singapore from India on 2 Apr and was tested positive for COVID-19 on arrival. His serology test result also came back positive suggesting that it was an old infection (‘Expat from India discharged from hospital as recovered COVID case, who later goes on to infect 2 others‘).

SARS was better? Are you kidding? Their incompetence caused the outbreak in SGH which resulted in death of Dr Alex Chao. In fact when he got sick they were saying he had dengue. It is always the bureaucrats who are the problem. Back then for SGH SARS it was over confidence. Even told staff no need to wear N95 until the outbreak happened. Reason there weren't enough masks and they did not want to cause alarm and panic.

Same in this story. I would think the downside risks of allowing these covid +ve cases into community without quarantine is higher than the upside? What is so important that they cannot have the same 14 day quarantine as others?

Politics? KPI targets? The economy must be open at all costs even at the expense of human lives?

I too agree that the higher ups and bureaucrats sitting in their ivory tower have made a terrible misjudgment and caused the second wave by importing cases from India.
