Happy for the MOs. As a locum and MO before, I understand the disparity in hrly rates.

MOs must thank me for advertising the good life that locums have in forums.

Agreed. $315 for a weekend call translates to about $15/hr. Ridiculous rates that have not been updated for donkey years.

Wow, last min locum rates r often S$100 to $120 per hr. Once even S$140 per hr!. In fact, as a locum I can even qualify to buy landed property in Sg. Banks r willing to lend once I tell them my hrly rates. I made a million dollars in profit in property transactions as a locum GP already for the last 15 odd years... Now wondering if I should go for a FH semid. In a good location.

No choice cause under bond, have to pay off our study loan from the government...S$15 per hr...some part time cleaners...foreigners somemore, earn more than that.

During my time, some of my classmates were redeemed of their bond by private sector groups which they joined.

U can get that working for just 3 hrs tomorrow morning as a locum. Seeing mostly coughs and colds and headaches and diarrhoea, many r monday mc seekers.

Are u really a medical student, a pervert or a troll?

9 out of 10 people don't look good naked, trust me. Anyway, O&G is far from being about "naked" women, unless ur looking for a quick way to be struck off the register

I suppose that makes u a pervert and a troll

with such locum rates and the current climate of residency, doesn't sound appealing to MOs to specialise anymore. do you guys think the rates will go down in the future as more go this route esp with the 500 grads coming in every year?
