I unfortunately failed one of my exams in medical school due to sickness and was awarded an F grade. I was told to resist the OSCE exam and managed to get a B grade. I have been getting mostly A and B for the most part of med school. I was wondering if the one F grade will severely jeopardise my chance of securely a residency spot in the future. Is it possible for me to improve my CV and still get into a residency programme? Will appreciate if someone with experience can help enlighten me.

New circular, all MOs will get a payrise of $500 per month. Previously, only MOs with a specialist diploma (MRCP, MRCS, MCEM, MRCOG, MMed) would have gotten this clinical allowance. Good news for those not intending to specialise anyway.

If you're actually a MOHH medical officer you'd know that the above is true

What's the point of doing MRCP MRCS MMED then? The doctors who did MRCP MRCS MMED do not get a pay rise??

Don't think they will ever give a 10% pay rise
