OP of post 17257 definitely has some insecurities or issues. Seems like OP is trying to gaslight others when got called out. The fact that OP said that OP threw work to the lawyers who “obliged” is pretty telling of OP’s insecurities lol.

Obviously. He wants us to think that he is good enough to be an EP in a top firm but chose to give it up for a better lifestyle. Lol….

It's like saying I can be valedictorian if I mugged damn hard but I chose to club hard.

It's moot because I did not mug. And even if I did who is to say I can be valedictorian?

OP here. Cos I can't control it? I have deliverables & bosses too you know

Lmao you guys are seriously insane (the posts after yours). Trying to psychoanalyze and accuse people of "gaslighting" or humblebragging. This is legal industry toxicity on display right here. And ironically, exactly the kind of insecurity I'm being accused off.

Anw I'm done here. Peace out.

Call me weird but, I don't really like the ring of the title "Associate", about which year PQE mark can I expect progression to Senior Assoc or Junior Partner?

Then go find firms that call you counsel.

Int Firms - 6-8 years to make SA, around 12-15 years to make Partner.
Local b4 (and large midsizes) - 3 years SA, 6-8 years to make Partner, 12 or so to make EP.
Smaller midsizes - 1 year less than above (save for SA).
Small firms - performance based, not set timing for promotions.

Just wanted to check, does anyone know when the Big 4 usually get back to our applications? is a 3-4 weeks wait normal?

Also, is it correct to assume that bonus season (December) is when people start moving and it would be the best time to apply to new firms as the chances are higher?

Thank you my learned friends
