Why are people willing to slog at B4 in order to go international firm?
How much do these international firms pay nowadays in 2022?

The payscales have all been listed earlier in this thread and are also readily available on the internet. It is a very significant increase.

If you can't even find this information on your own, you probably aren't qualified for the job.

The newest Cravath scale is US$215k for NQs which increases to US$415k for 7th years. This is public information that you can find through a simple Google search.
There are a few US firms in Singapore that will pay the full US scale (converted to SGD), although they typically discount your seniority by a few years (usually 2-3) for non-US JD graduates. So a second-year SG associate might join a US firm as an NQ.
There are other posts previously in this forum which explain which firms in Singapore pay the full US scale, and which pay a mid-Atlantic rate which is somewhere between the full US scale and Magic Circle rates.

Essentially you become overqualified junior but since NQ at MC or First Year at Cravath still gets paid more than 2-3PQE at big4 its still worth it especially if you can negotiate down the discount or are not keen / cannot make partner in big4.
