Quitting during TC (and moving to another firm) is actually alot more common than many think. Don't be afraid to quit just because seniors or previous mentors told you that "it will burn bridges" or "you will have a black mark".
Literally nobody cares if you change TC, they just care where you spent most of your time. If you can get a better TC, or if your current TC really sucks, you should just change it.
Most bosses are understanding, and will want to keep good relationships with departing trainee/associates (especially given the size of the law industry).

Any lawyer turned banker can share their journey and advice for doing so? Getting tired of the legal side of things

There is nothing different about the workflow, the hours and the grind.
Some people might say "well at least the pay is better" - not really. The same proportion of bankers making the crazy bulge bracket IB or S&T salaries is the same as the proportion of lawyers going to MC / WS firms, and the salaries are not too different at that level. In other words, if you are good, you are going to get the good salaries in either field.
The only real reason to go is if you enjoy crunching numbers and making slides instead of doing legal research and drafting documents which, to me, were equally mind-numbing.
