LOL talk about changing the narrative. Nobody in the legal industry recognizes a "Big 5" or thinks that Rodyk is on par with the Big 4. Rodyk's BD department must've worked hard to pull off this media coup.

What makes you think recruiter gives “happy” or “extra” (referring to the other post)?

She is a professional recruiter. Even if she looks good, it is not an invitation of sorts. Please respect mher as such.

Not whole devoid of truth though... Heard DRD's headcount now rivals or even eclipses Drew's. Couple of high profile partners joined recently too.

DRD is actually in an interesting position as the largest firm with an intl tie-up, remains to be seen how it pans out

Sure, if it is purely a headcount thing. Quantity != quality. Which is why Dentons, the law firm that touts itself as having 10000000000 lawyers, 50% of whom are PRC Dacheng lawyers, isn't exactly first port of call for top grads. BA Juris Oxon are not all turning down A&O or Kirkland in favour of Dentons London lol

Locally, the ROdyk Dentons tie-up is about as meaningful as slapping a 7-11 logo on your void deck mama shop and calling yourself an global convenience store chain

A quick perusal of IFLR1000 and Legal 500 in the rankings that matter, show that Rodyk is tier 3 across the board while the Big 4 are either tier 1 or tier 2.
