Doubt. The nus law guy running from election is what, at most year 3? Apart from maybe 1 subject, which exam at nus is closed book? Cannot bring notes? Name me the subject and we know if true or not. Don't hide and make anon accusations.

Firstly, email the law school and if you wish to bring this matter further, CC the dean and the professor. Use your lawyering skills to explain why this matter is so serious and why their immediate attention must be required because 100,000 citizens' stake are involved.

Yes. Assuming you're not sarcastic and the above is true. He doesn't deserve to represent a GRC, this is a matter of public interest. You could also CC gov. Do it for the greater good.

If a firm does not even want to pay $800 (which is the bare minimum 1-2 man chinatown firm rate), I'm not sure you want to be in the firm). Not only because they are quite tight with their money, but that offer means they are not intending to retain (and probably think they are doing you a favour). Are they in fact doing you a favour (if you are from a lower tier uni plus low grades - perhaps take the offer)?
Guys is this true? Someone please comment?

Guys give chance la. If you do that chances are he might not even get a tc at all due to the track record. Who hasn’t made mistakes in the past before.

Yep, this is quite a measured response.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of factors involved in a job search which you need to figure out yourself, because you have information we don't have. Are you an exceptional, average or mediocre candidate? Same goes for the firm which made you the offer? If you know you can't get better, and RLT is a temporary gig, then go ahead and accept it. Weigh your options.

My advice right now is - in this economy, any job is better than no job. Especially cause training is just a hill to get over, not a permanent arrangement.
