Heard several of the non-Big 4, mid-big firms have started pay cuts, cutting out the front load and some even going further by cutting the base pay. Anyone can confirm?

Retention hasn't been announced yet for my firm but I think the rates will fall this year

I think it depends on whether the firm has sufficient jobs so likely firms with less jobs would see lower retention rates

Looking for advice
Hi there. Local undergrad here. Just wondering: how important is it to get a TC 2 years in advance? Will it be very hard to get one before graduation?
Seeing as the current situation has led to a lot of disrupted summer internships, there’s less opportunities to intern and leave favourable impressions at firms... so I was wondering if undergrads don’t obtain TCs early in advance would it be near impossible to get one later?
