Hi all so sorry for bothering, what is the starting pay for Shook Lin & Bok? (And the pay for 1PQE/2PQE etc)
And how were the retention rates for trainees before this year? (I understand the covid-19 situation means retention this year is probably not great, but I'm training in 2022 so praying it will get better :'( )
Also wow reading this thread has been very helpful hahaha for some reason there are so many rumours in my batch that TSMP starting pay is $7k....which I found pretty confusing since big4 would have larger profit margins based on my limited understanding as a noob law student
Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to reply!

Profit = Revenue - Expenses. How do you increase profit? Either increase revenue or decrease expenses. What's the easiest way to decrease expenses or keep them low? Pay your junior lawyers like s hit!
In any event, profit goes into the partner pockets. You think they're going to share their earnings with you while their busy stuffing their greedy ass faces with dollar bills for their 2nd property?

Out of curiosity and given that this is an anonymous forum, any feedback here on which teams or practice groups prospective employees at SLB should take a closer look at would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hi OP about the salary here Thank you. I am a Y2 noob so I don't know if I am training there yet, as I am only training in 2022. But they took me for internship so that is nice to hear.
