Is supply generally more than demand or still ok with natural attrition?

Which is why there's a fundamental misconception with what is mid tier.

Midtier doesn't just mean mid sized. It means reputable firms by any measure that are not big 4 and rodyk.

We're talking about those that are at least band 3/4 in various practice areas, with some strong (band 1/2) practices.

This segment of firms include Shook Lin, TSMP, Stamford, ATMD, Wong & Leow, Harry Elias etc

Seems like lots of law students and fresh grads here who don't really understand the market.
Lol say people say yourself. Why is Rodyk even grouped with Big4 - it is pretty much mid tier. And lol re W&L.

Generally, yes.
Though i would say that this is sometimes also team dependent. Especially so for 2/4 of the big4s.

Base monthly salary for NQ assuming 6k. Every year increase 1k, after 5 years = 11k. 11k x 14 months (assuming 2 months bonus after front-load) = 151k. So this is about right, but it's much lower than magic circle and white shoe firms which would be paying 300k.
