Curious how much a early 30s in house counsel makes on average? How about later in her/his prime at 40-50s? PQE 2 here considering her options cheers

i think the point here is not how much you can earn, but rather the benefits you can get. I can say the money is not that far off from big firms (depends on ur luck also) BUT MOST IMPORTANT, you are seen as a "person" and work life balance.

Pay differs quite greatly for in-house roles.
Banks/FIs generally pay more than companies.
MNCs generally pay more than local companies.
Higher level jobs which require strategic planning and execution generally pay more than a contracts specialists.

Early 30s, MNC, mid-level role - 8.5k
It's not a lot compared to private practice but worth it for what you get in return. I barely have to work late. Medical and Dental benefits extend to spouse and children. Generous leave policy including days off without the need for MC over and on top of medical leave and childcare leave. It's not too bad a deal, especially if you're thinking of settling down.

Agreed on that. MNC, junior. Started from 4.8k. Went in directly after tc before call. No pay increase after probation and call. 1 year later 5.5. Now at 5.8. 13th+min 2.5 vb. Benefits and leaves similar to above. is good if you intend to settle down and no longer want to burn and chiong.

Just completed my first year of PQE, and my pay has been raised to 8.5k
Does this mean in house is a pay cut?
