Better focus on your job and screwing your associates and trainees.

That is all you have left to boast and upkeep your pride.

thats why with people like you, the industry is suffering. come on, work is not everything.

end of the day what you left is only money and luxury goods, which is so what?

If this is really your view of marriage and life, you need to think hard whether law is for you and what does it mean to live a meaningful life

Heard a certain firm in battery road and a certain firm in mbfc retained quite a lot of people.
Puzzled. In this economy?

I just feel the trainees quite lucky. Cos not all firms are like that.

Nothing to be envious about
Life is endless suffering cycles
Now the ranting of traineeship is toning down.
when you lucky to be associates, another set of problems will come in

Then when you past 30/40s single and put on weight and hair dropping
you wonder if it’s all worth it or not
by then it is too late.
all the money you earn can’t buy back your health and time with family.

moral of story? if you get retained, good. if not, there’s also inherent goodness.

just take life as it comes and not be overly anxious.

Thanks. Can I ask what to do if you’re an associate but you are feeling very stressed out and think you got depression / mental illness as a result of toxic office politics and political undercurrents.

I am in Early mid 30s. Female.

But I don’t seem to be able to find love and a man to settle down with.
Since graduation I have been in this profession.
I met many great male colleagues unfortunately most good men are attached married.

My question is is it too late for me to find love and to settle down?

I believe I am attractive. Smart. Law degree holder. Lawyer by profession. Can craft arguments well. Well read.

And why are all the good men taken?

It seems I have no luck in love. What can I do?
How about you have an affair with your senior partner? He's probably bored of his elderly wife. This option would help further your career also. Win win

Hi there, I know many single ladies in their mid to late 30s that have the same problem as you. There is one colleague who is particularly capable and good looking, but she has serious character flaws in that she cannot lose an argument.

I think this trait is inherent in good lawyers and commercial/contract people and that is unfortunate.

Sorry to be blunt but I think your best bet would be a divorcee angmo who could take the sh*t.
