I’m a senior lawyer in a MC firm. I honestly think that NUS grads are the best, even better than Oxbridge grads. The latter tend to introduce their own conceptions based on English law (which of course can vary significantly from SG law) and are also less practical / more theoretical. SMU grads - some are good but generally pale in comparison to NUS because they are just not so grounded in the law, and are more “fluff”. I’ve seen some pretty good LSE and UCL grads though, potentially on par with NUS

How much do newly promoted salaried partners in the the big firms and mid tiers earn? Anyone with a firm by firm breakdown?

Bump

Fake sob story trolls, people pretending to be MC senior lawyers/hiring partners, posters having monologues with themselves. The level of Asperger's in this forum is too damn high.

Wow quite obvious you’re from LSE/UCL. I know you guys want to put your unis up on a higher pedestal but pls do so in a smarter way tq and not in a circuitous, round about manner which exposes your identity in the process.

only you can decide for yourself...

life is a marathon, not a sprint... altho going to big4 certainly has its perks and advantages against a small firm... but learning curve is much steeper.... a good learning environment is equally important too as compared to salary
Used to have very bad health problems in my past job. Frequent anxiety, panic attacks. Hair loss, lack of sleep, frequently tired. I heard of females whose period had stopped because of the stress on their bodies.

The last straw was when I started to develop breathing problems, where my lungs will contract and can't expand. The doctor prescribed me ASTHMA medicine. I never had a history of asthma.

Quit the job after I finished my last engagement. I'm never going back.

Default You believe what you want to believe

I am not sure why there is always constant calling of trolls. You believe what you choose to believe is real or false.

Anyway its just a forum, the fact that you are looking at this forum probably means u have time on your hands to read it. That means either you are an undergrad/not called to bar yet or called to bar but workload at job gives you some free time.
