At least for a uniformed services officer, the merit increment can be quite based on the PB given that year.

my personal experience would be

C grade - $90 - $110
B grade - $120 - $150
A grade $160 - $190

Senior officer: no sure

Just saw my MI, 4.2% for mx11a (unranked)

You are in the same boat as me. I joined 20 Feb 2023, got around 4% increment in Feb 2024. But MI in April 24 is only $36! I'm super upset.

I mean you have gotten your due increment in Feb for your work done for the past year.

My increment was around 150+ with grade B, but someone who joined later than me, with the same grade, received a 230 increment with grade C. How does that make any sense? Does anyone know why?"

your 36 dollar is for feb to 31 march so its calculated correctly
