It’s tougher or in fact quite impossible to transfer to consulting now, you should have applied for consulting right at the start when you first join. If you can’t get into consulting role when you applied then higher unlikely you will find it any easier to transfer to consulting while on the job. Suggestion to you is to just do your job or if you really is interested in consulting, you can jump to another firm for a consulting role (but you need to prove you’re able to do consulting work and how you can link your work experience to it in the interview). If you’re just wanting to jump into consulting cos you’re sick of implementation work, you’ll soon be sick of consulting work too.

You should have had to put someone to review your submission (if you're already in a project) that will also tell you when and what to submit for myTE. If there's any issues with it, they'd let you know.

Apply for other companies outside lo. Have never ever heard of people switching to consulting halfway through, or even if they do hold the consulting title, they end up doing business analyst roles which is implementation still. Consulting so competitive and they take in a few only each hiring round, honestly rather tough for you now to switch from tech to consulting. You can try speaking to your hr and justify yourself.

Consulting is slightly more competitive to get in than tech. That being said, it’s not entirely impossible to switch. But if you’re from tech, likely you’ll take on those BA project roles. The actual consulting projects will be done by people who were organically hired to do consulting.

BA means business analyst? So consulting development analysts from change management pods who will progress eventually to strategy&consulting T&O are mainly hired to focus on consulting? Cos there’s the business analysis pods and those few consulting inside seem to be doing a different type of consulting as those who are in the change mgmt pod, those in business analysis pod like doing tech consulting? Anyway they hold the business analyst role in projects which is same as those tech ppl.

How do you tell if you’re hired organically to do consulting? Sorry rather new and I’m in the TAP business analysis pod and there’s also another consulting pod which is change management. Saw from the TAP list for each pod the change management one have the least people and heard from my HR that change management will go on to S&C in their 3rd year after TAP. But for my business analysis pod although I’m also consulting development analyst but like even all the business and integration analyst also in this BA pod and I’m not even doing consulting work, all of us in this pod do the same work as those business and tech analysts holding the Business Analyst role.
So does it mean those few consulting people in the BA pod are not organically consulting like management consulting? Whereas the change management pod is purely consulting right based on how it looks? No wonder recruiters don’t offer change management pod easily…in fact have asked for it but was sent to BA pod instead

I need some real advice please... before I join I assumed that I would be put on a team and work on internal tools or products or whatever...
I didn't realize that I would be benched.. I am socially awkward and afraid to voice out so will I be benched forever? what do I do? I tried approaching my manager once and he blushed me off
