Why everyone thinks a pod determine your role and which talent segment youre in??
Clear your misconception people.
Your talent segment which is also your job family is the one that determines what types of project roles will you be doing.
If you want to be in S&C doing consulting, you need to be recruited as a Consulting Development Analyst/Consulting Development Snr Analyst, Management Consulting, and so on. This is fixed and standard.
If you want to be in Technology, you need to be recruited as Business & Integration Arch Analyst or Business and Integration Delivery Analyst, Data Scientist, and so on.
If you want to be in Operations/Security, then its their relative role to be recruited into
Accenture Song is their interactive function, so a relevant job role as well.
The pods in TAP is just a pod lol, we have business and integration arch analyst in other pods other than tech pods also what. But are they doing consulting work? Are their talent segment consulting? Do they belong in S&C? No.
Your ACN Job Title, Talent Segment in contract, your Manager, and your Job Family are what determines which line you belong in ACN and the type of work youll do.

Pretty much sums up everything 👍
Standard roles for fresh analysts Accenture recruits:
- Consulting development analyst = ACN S&C
- Strategy analyst = ACN S&C = extremely rare, hire maybe like 1-3 every 2-3 years only
- Business and integration delivery analyst = ACN Technology
- Business and integration arch analyst = ACN Technology
- Security analyst = ACN Technology
- Operational analyst = ACN Operations
- those analyst belonging to corporate functions such as transaction something analyst
- Recruiting Analyst = Corporate Fn, HR
- Project management analyst = Corporate Fn

Why would someone with a Technical degree or have the tech skills go to Accenture and expecting to do real tech work?

hard truth here. A lot of tech analyst or as your job role business and integration arch analyst in ACN cant even code. Many learned and used enterprise software like SAP.. which makes their skills totally irrelevant once the change project or job. Many people are stuck in ACN after 2 years with no real skills for any exit opportunities. End up grind for 10 years still cannot make it to associate manager.

You need more of soft skills than your implementation/technical skills once you hit manager level. You will need to do sales if you cant you either cant get promoted or rather someone will replace you in your role.
