since now there will be a common analyst pool consisting of tech & consulting analysts, will the barrier to entry be higher? seems unfair that the consulting folks and put together with tech analysts when the entry criteria is clearly diff in the past.

Dont be fooled. Yes it is 1 program.but there are different pools according to what they will be hired for.

Eg. There will still be a consulting pool where only people who are clearly suitable to be in consulting can be in. There will also be a common pool of analysts where people with degrees not relevant (eg. Arts) can join.

Ultimately the purpose of this 1 program is to shift those consulting people to CD&O. they wont be in C&M anymore. When that happens, their charge rate is lower and thus projects can be more profitable.

wait is there guaranteed promo in the 1+2 model? or is that the minimum duration u have to be at each level (i.e. 3 years is just the min duration to make C - not the fixed duration)?

Able to share how is the entry criteria different? I see analysts with FCH joining as tech analyst also.

I feel like nothing is guaranteed. Ultimately you will still need your supervisor’s recommendation.

Wow I didn’t know that! What is the common pool and consulting pool?

Lol.
U know promotion cycle in dec every year and is based on yr review in Aug. u must zhun zhun join in Jan if u wan promote in 1 year, if not wait til next cycle.

Yeah this is the hard truth. guaranteed promotion ur head la. If talent discussion (performance review) get below expectation how to promote?

It is good for analyst to sr analyst.

Many analysts cant even make it to sr analyst and still stay there and rot.

From sr analyst to specialist, people usually take 1-2 years. 2 years is stretching it by a fair bit.

In c&m, analyst to consultant (level9 equivalent of specialist/team lead) takes 1.5years to 2.5years typicallt. Very very few would make it at 3 years mark. The bad thing is they dont have a middle level to promote to so they would just suffer with their analyst pay.
