Sounds like a good place in comparison with the other 2 banks.
In terms of work life balance an benefits.
Anyway for recent years, does middle n front office still receiving 4-6 mths bonus?
Can't wait to enjoy the dental unlimited cleaning treatment. Which r the dental clinics included in the panel? Are they island wide?
Also anticipating those training sessions where they will be in kl. at night wonder can go klzouk after training ends. Usually for middle n front office guys, how Often do we get to fly to kl for training?

A banking guy getting excited over dental benefits and flying to KL?!?! The banking industry has fallen far since 2008....

Yes the ubdtsye has decline precipitously since subprime or has peaked somewhere in 2006. It's a sunset industry and will only go down more from here. No longer times where mediocre ppl can jump every couple of years and expect 25% or higher rates.
I'm appreciative enough for these little privileges that smbc has to offer

Having said that, I wouldn't equate Jap banks as "banking industry". They are a unique group that don't really fit in with the rest of the local/foreign banks.

Been through both Bank of Tokyo and also SMBC. Currently in an European bank. I also don't get what you mean by the above

Just got a offer from one of the Japanese banks for a fresh graduate role in MO. The offered pay is about 2.8-2.9k, is that the norm?

Yes. That is the average pay they offer fresh grads. Is this a permanent role?

Yes its a permanent role. Hows the progression/benefits? The starting salary seems a bit low compared to the other banks
