It's now June and July period, which means there are thousands of fresh Uni and Poly grads looking for jobs. This is not the best time period to job hop. With recession on the horizon, god knows when you may secure your next job. If you feel depress now, imagine yourself out of job, sending hundreds of resumes per month and having to explain to prospective employers why you are out of work for long periods of time. That is depressing! Toughen up man! There are worse off people in this forum. You can do it!
I was thinking about quitting my current job without securing another job and almost couldn't sleep last night because of worrying about how long to get another job if I really tender. And now I saw your post. Thanks ! Really encouraging !I really cannot take it anymore for my current job with all the shifting blames and accusations of things I didn't do. But thinking I would be left with nothing but worries and anxiety if I quit without a job, I think it would be best to send resume while still employed.

I agree, the worst thing u can do right now is to quit without a job. You will feel sibei song when u do it and the 1st 3 days after. After that when you start applying for jobs and go through the whole waiting game, the anxiety and worry will be so much more than what you have to face at work. Trust me, I've been through it and it's no fun at all.

Agree with above post.
I was a hero once quit without job.
Not a good feeling.
Company will try to lowball you as they know you don't have leverage.

I am quite surprised in this day and age living in Singapore, anyone who is not financially independent still thinking and need to ask whether they should quit without a job. I would have thought it should be a common sense to endure no matter how bad until you got another offer.

By logic yes, but sometimes humans are emotional. I once did something stupid and quit at the heat of the moment after boss publicly humiliate me in front of all the other colleagues.

Took me 4 months to find another job and constant stress from family that honestly looking back, is worse than taking it from the boss.

The younger one is, and the less liabilities one has, the more likely he/she will consider giving into impulses and quitting without another job offer.

It took me around 2.5 months to secure and start at another job.

Hey everyone, thanks for the advice. I needed some harsh and realistic advice to snap me out of this. Will continue to mass send resumes.

I disagree with the above comments. Isn't pride, dignity, integrity, happiness, treasuring & enjoying your life the most important thing in life? What's the point of a job when you already lost both yourself and your life? the money is not able to compensate what you have loss.

Let me leave you with a quote.

Always remember, money isn't everything - but also remember to make a lot of it before talking such fool nonsense.
