left my job because of many reasons, that was quite a few months back, took a break, went on a holiday (they wouldn't have it approved either because 'it was too early to tell' even after i tried to have it approve 3 separate times), and just started job-hunting. people might think that it's such a stupid thing to do, but if i had to choose again, i would have done the same thing. my last job didn't allow me to go on leaves, didn't allow me to take leave at all. I was shagging for them for a year and each time I needed to go on leave to attend an interview, i had to cancel at the last minute because the managers would cite reasons like, 'oh there's a (client) meeting' even if it's just a regular meeting, any of my project teammates can be there WITHOUT me. Meetings can happen like 4-5 times a week so I can pretty much not take leave to go for interviews. As a result I missed out on quite a few interviews because i couldn't get out of the office due to reasons stated above. This also happened during the time I was serving my notice period, and i was extremely annoyed. in the end i din manage to clear my leaves (not cashable), only managed to attend one interview out 4 (3 others i had to cancel, couldn't even reschedule).
right now i do have interviews coming, so i'm not complaining.

Why not lodge an official complain to MOM.
All worker in Singapore are entitled to leave.

No reply from HR after referral checks were done
After referral checks were done and follow-up email was sent to Hr to query on my application status, yet the HR still didn't reply to the email after 2 days, does this implies my chances are slim?

Give it at least a week before you call in to check. Sometimes the person in charge might be on MC or leave. The world doesn't revolve around you u know.

This is the internet. What are you expecting, hugs and kisses? We don't owe you anything. Be thankful I even responded to you with a concrete reply to your question.
