This is because some people have no other commitments except themselves. If the job is not what they want, why waste time dragging on? Transferring within the organisation may or may not be possible.
It's the social norm in the society today that leaving without a job is unacceptable. That's why so many people are here to rant.

Though from basic, it tells another story. My previous had good perks/bonus.
Not sure if the HR in new co will buy it, anyway its MNC.
I am going for another F2f interview next week tues. I hope to get good news
Congrats on getting the new job.

Which industry are u in? Did u use the online job portals or direct application for yr job search?

Too stressful to deal with new boss and being pressed to a corner.

Went for 1 f2f interview lately, looks positive, but its been 3wks still no offer. Just calls from hirer to keep me warm.
New job is with foreign boss, I am worried he is not serious about hiring a local for the job as he would prefer to give the job to professionals from his country. Worse, he may take me interim and once someone from his country comes along, he may drop me and take the cheaper alternative. He is indian india, so is his boss.

I cannot stay in current post too long as I am going out of my mind, current boss is manipulative and evil, I'm not going to say what he did to me while I am here. But he seems hell bent to make me leave on my own accord and with a bad record with hr.

I was initially planning to leave without an offer since I have 3 mths notice, but after coming to this forum, I am afraid that I will be left with no offers Q1 next yr.
Bad idea to leave without an offer. You have 2 toddlers to care for. Are you prepared to cut your household income in half? If it's ok, then you can consider quitting to become a full time mother.

Cant reveal the current industry I am in now, but the new industry I sucessfully interviewed for is FMCG. I have switched many industries in my jobs.
I have 2 other interviews coming up, F2F tues with a banking industry but again India Indian boss, which as mentioned I am worried about the longevity of the position, boss may want to give to his own pple.
I was discussing my salary expectation with my spouse lats night and he said that I could be paid more than the boss since he is from India, if so he will not be keen to keep me for long.

The other interview is a video call for a position based in Sydney.. so strange they cant find suitable pple in populas syd, my expertise is not very rare. Again, this post I rank it 5/10 on the hope meter

Not everyone has to swallow pride like you in front of boss and then act hero behind the computer.

To be able to switch to many different industries, you must have transferable skills or stellar results?

Better to find a job first before you quit. Things are getting more expensive in Singapore.
