GG to you, for public sector they will likely check.
Dishonesty will usually mean an immediate strike down.

Yah lo. Dishonest about employment period just want high pay sia.
People worried things like.
1. I never declare I hiv+
2. Or I never declare I was Terminated from my previous job. Not because I resign.
3. Or I have unpaid fines in Malaysia and I have a criminal record because of that.. Never declare.
4. Or I got traffic record forgot to pay fine now become criminal banned from driving.. I don't declare can?
5. Or I am actually bankrupt. Or going thru a legal dispute bankruptcy but I really need the join. Should I declare.
OP worried about things like extra 0.5 months...
Want to ask for 0.5months extra pay is it.

Hey guys,
Anyone can advise if minor discrepancies below are fine? I was offered a job at a US MNC. But damn pekcek with this background check:
1. I put "Bachelor of Science(Mechanical Engineering)" in my resume when the actual cert states "Bachelor of Engineering(Mechanical Engineering)".. I didnt realise that until the background checker emailed me.. wtf obviously its just a title right? The point I want to put across is I have a degree in Mech Engin, i dont care whether is a Bsc or BEng..Previous background checks also nobody tell me abth it.
2.I omitted my temp job that is IRRELEVANT to my current industry in the resume after graduation.. Like that also cannot? wtf. So I only got the initial contract signed left, no letter of employment or supervisor contact to verify the date I left.

The screening vendor will verify your degree against your resume/certificate, hence I think the discrepancy. You can just tell them it is an honest mistake. If it is different, they will flag it out to the company and let them decide (from what I understand)

Hi all, just to check, will the background checker tell your current manager where you are going when doing the call? Or they are under obligation not to reveal?
Because I was wondering if I should tell my manager where I’m going when informing her that I put her as a reference.

Personally I feel that you should not tell your manager where you are going in case it will jeopardize your prospect in any way. But you can just tell them which industry, I'm sure they will understand.
For the screening vendor, it will be at their discretion.
