Hi, have a curious question. Have anyone tried applying to PMO before? How is the application process like? Scan through this thread but didn't see any mention on it. Or is it they seldom have any openings?

HR then said they will put my application up for process and approval and get back to me in 3-4 weeks time.
Can i ask if this means a verbal offer (high chance of getting the job) and what does processing the application here means? is it doing up the formal offer doing background checks or there is still a chance of rejection as they are processing me with other candidates.
Any advice will be much appreciated!

I am in the same situation as you. Mine is a ministry. Was told reference check takes 3-4 weeks. Around 1.5 weeks after call, my current manager received the reference check. But so far, I haven’t heard of any news from the HR yet. I am still waiting, now 2nd week here. I hope to receive news soon. How many days or weeks have you waited after receiving the call?

An la guys, usually when they verbal offer with package means 95% in already unless during checks got adverse returns (you know it yourself if you have anything that will hinder you from passing it).

Mine has been around only 2-3 days as I received the call only last week. Mine was a verbal offer but without the package as they just said they would like me to join their organisation. We discussed expected salary and designation and that's about it.
Does your verbal offer comes with a package as well?

Hi everyone, would like some advice please.
Have 2 offers at hand right now -
1) With a ministry but contract 2 years, pay is lower, but am more interested in the job scope (related to my field of study)
2) With comm hospital, permanent, pay is higher, job scope is more on working with volunteers
Both have elements of "doing good" and helping others, which is what I want.
Really appreciate some sincere advice as to how would you choose!
Thank you!

My thinking is don’t just go for pay. It will not make you happier compared to doing a job that you are more interested in. You can check with the ministry is it purely just 2 year contract or will become permanent after that. In the end, people can give you advice but the decision can be made only by you.
