medical checkup
What do they check for during the medical checkup?
Assuming a middle-age applicant has high blood pressure or diabetes, would that result in a rejection even though he might have passed the interview?

U spam resumes ah? I am also tempted to just spam my resume but feels no point applying for jobs that I am not keen on. If this goes on, I may have to turn to private sector liao.

long processing time?
Looks like the processing time from application start date to final offer letter could take a few months to complete.
The applicants usually apply for a few jobs concurrently.
By the time the final offer is ready, the applicants would have already landed in another job (probably from the faster private sector), and the whole cycle will be repeated for another applicant.
No wonder the HR from govt sectors are so perpetually busy.

omg i experienced the same thing as well. Went for the final interview on Friday and was told by the HR Manager that they will get back to me within 1 to 2 weeks. Was kinda hopeful initially until i saw a similar ad with a different deadline this morning. I guess this means i have failed the final interview then. Can anyone advise if this is normal?

I think it varies with organisations. Some government bodies are pretty chop chop while some just leave u hanging there for months.

There was once I got called up for an interview.. Interview scheduled 3 days later.. Then I received rejection notification one week later. I think considered pretty chop chop for a government body.
Indeep, how long have u waited after ur interview? One week is an ok time, still got hopes. If more than 2 weeks, then most likely no hopes liao. U can call the HR to enquire too.
