Anyone knows how much of a pay increase will there be if one gets promoted from GE02 to GEO3 in April ? Taking into account the usual pay raise thats comes in April as well.

are u a primary school teacher? if u are not i will just say that it’s not abt being strict but TSR. building trust. u sound like a boomer or someone with anal personality disorders . move on; the world has changed. kids expect to be treated with respect and as equals. if u can’t accept that then yes quit.
but caveat, may not apply to primary school n it’s not targeted at u if u teach in a primary school

First week of hols department meeting for what? Waste time. People going holiday soon.

Former sec teacher here, even though first week is not protected, it's usually white space for teachers to clear any backlogs of their own work, or for the more garang ones, prep resources for Term 3. There would be maybe half a day to one day of CCAs for some, or supplementary/remedial lessons for graduating classes.

More like at least 5500. 8000 is a bit much.

source: I am teacher with 8 years of experience under my belt. A H.O.T though

Precisely! My school had three days of meetings/workshop. I wasn’t focused at all, didn’t remember much that was discussed, everyone was already on holiday mood.
