Anyone signed contract w Mindef recently? How long did ur background/G50 check after the verbal offer take? HR told me 4-6 weeks but I find it hard to believe since the ministry is known for their long checks.

I've heard that for some cases it may take up to 3 mths.

Ah ok thanks. Then do y’all know if I need to list down even my past part-time contract jobs in F&B in the G50? I can provide info for the time period/company but seriously have no way to trace the contact details and even the name of my supervisor lol.

If me and my spouse work part-time for CIA, do I need to declare? I don't think Mindef is able to find out. As you know, housing costs, GST rising very fast and we are not on ministers level salary so there isn't any dignity in it.

Other posters are saying it could take up to 3 months, so could take a while more for you.
I’m also still waiting on my clearance atm
