It's true, there are better options out there to choose than the big 4. Big 4 has a very good marketing gimmick and you will be surprised when you get in. Choose something else if you can. Most of my friends got a reality shock when they get in.

I'm just a lowly worker at a bank. Earning 6k after one year. Get to go home before 7 everyday. Poor accountants get paid less than 4 after one year and work till after 10pm everyday. Don't be cheated by the big 4. U will end up as cheap labour

Not to mention past midnight say 1-3am Mon-Thurs, slightly earlier on friday and work on weekdays. U decide for yourself. Bank, considering the hours is much better

that is just for audit side. Advisory not that bad.

But there is no improvement in pay. Best to take your 1-2 year "experience learning" session and get the hell out of there...

people in the forum are saying advisory pays up to 6k for seniors, is that not equivalent to your 9-6pm back office bank job?

how is the increment / bonus like for in house staff? back end IT, not auditor.. got aws and vb? around how many months?
