Talk sh1t so what? Thousands of grads and experienced professionals jumping for the chance to take over your job. No one cares about your opinion when you're just a replaceable warm body and a number. As if i care about what some kid thinks of me when I can collect my 500k paycheck.

He is smart. A couple of years later he will jump to a bigger role in commercial with better hours and better pay, work for another 10 years then retire like a king in malaysia living in a bungalow and driving a conti car while sending his kids to international schools and uni while you still working 9-6 stating in your 800sqft apartment

Just because you have moved up doesn't mean you should ignore the concerns of those who are where you once were. Empathy shouldn't have a price tag.
Ignoring the issue won't make it disappear.
Building a supportive environment where feedback is constructive, regardless of position, strengthens your team and fosters growth for everyone.

The kids do know that we too have been talking about our managers and partners since decades ago right? Look what have changed? It took a literal border closure for pay to be raised and hybrid WFH to be a thing. Save your energy for something more productive than picking a fight with people whom you want help from.
