To this poster, you won’t go far in your career, and i am not talking about your big 4 stint only. Hope you don’t ever marry and bring any girls down with you.
U very up there meh. Low end job is low end job. No quality means no quality. Ppl are just stating the fact. Even if you have more qualification or experience, ppl are still looking at jhk/jhb. Gg to change to tax soon, where mostly are still sg.

It’s easy to blame your seniors when you are the A1.

After you become SA1, see how you feel when your A1 blame you…

The industry is ridiculous that there is an implicit culture the team members are not expected to fall sick or have other emergencies. I still remember my audit manager and partner spoken like they are nice people when they 'allow' a fellow second year associate to go on compassionate leave. I knew the industry was wtf culture but that drove the nail for me.
Two weeks booking, you fall sick 2 days - you have 8 days left to finish the same amount of work.

You are missing the point.

Nobody wants to suffer those few years.

Those who have suffered have moved on from this thread.

There will always be an influx of people going in and out, so this thread will always have people going through the “suffering” stage.

Just like how O levels, A levels, NS threads in Reddit are permanently active even though the original posters graduated years ago.

I suggest to abolish this booking concept… outside where got such thing one.

Doing Job A but spending time on Job B then your Job A manager says you slow.

Got booking concept still has silly booking arrangement. No booking concept mean everyday work 36 hours?

I remember them slotting in other engagements when I was already on one of the biggest engagements of the firm, and it is internally known that burning weekends are a norm. Was flabbergasted and ignored 80% of the time booked for smaller engagements. I still did sufficient work for the small job but don't think the associates for the small jobs like me :P
