Rather than them thinking you saw and will act on the email and expect it on Monday.
Other wise, it can come off as you having a poor sense of ownership or commitment.

To this poster, you won’t go far in your career, and i am not talking about your big 4 stint only. Hope you don’t ever marry and bring any girls down with you.

Actly I have to agree with the previous poster. We’re not surgeons nor doctors, what emergencies are there that need us to die die attend to immediately. It’s not like if we are not able to meet the deadline the whole world will collapse and die. It’s more like people like you who are dying to por your superiors which resulted in a toxic work culture that no one will stay in there for long.

When the timeline and team composition is arranged in such a way that people are expected to consistently ot, everything is fire. It is a self-inflicted (by partners) fire.
The industry is ridiculous that there is an implicit culture the team members are not expected to fall sick or have other emergencies. I still remember my audit manager and partner spoken like they are nice people when they 'allow' a fellow second year associate to go on compassionate leave. I knew the industry was wtf culture but that drove the nail for me.

Just last year we turned seniors, but.. I’m sorry it’s not that simple lol. If I let my associate go home at 530 and stop working then maybe I need to stay until next day 530…
