How good is it? What about yearly increment once you got the job? Jump as fast as audit?

In general, commercial does not jump as fast as audit where you have a laddered mapped out progression plan. You should not be expecting annual increments in commercial, and you certainly do not get promoted every year.

To clarify, in commercial accounting, you should not be expecting $500 increment annually.

More reasonable expectations is looking at 2% to 3% salary adjustment when there is no promotion and no change in your job scope.

If you read the original post instead of just the quoted post, he is asking about a specific company instead of general accounting.

would assume the same for SEA as well given that generally accounting/FP&A functions are cost centres where firms want to reduce as much costs as possible. So it would make sense that they are grouped under as commercial/industry accounting where the yearly increment follows the standard market rate of 2-3% (not as fast as audit).

Hi everyone, if one wants to aim to become a partner (a highly driven individual that can endure setbacks in life), what one has to do over his career years to maximize his chance to become one (associate/senior associate level)
