If you put and the HR don’t like, maybe get filtered out before reaching the interview.

If you explain during the interview at least it’s face to face.
Hahahahah.

You do this, you get instantly blacklisted by the HR for wasting their time. Good luck.

Most people take gap years for unrelated reasons it wouldn’t be a gap year if you were doing further studies or work related.

Then how? What is your idea?

Include then people say not relevant. Exclude then people say omit details blacklisted by HR.

What is your constructive advice?

My constructive advice is to take the advice on page 2 by this guy here:

By gap year you mean Poly / JC -> Esports -> Uni?

Just don't put your Poly / JC details. No one cares anyway, resume school qualification is always latest education acquired, not your past educations.

You think it makes sense to put your Primary, Secondary, Poly / JC then Uni details in your resume? no bro lol it looks like you're just trying to pad your resume with ********.

Just put Uni course, school name, GPA, what year to what year.

Then get a few internships or do some cyber security side projects and put those in your resume. Don't fking put your esport nonsense in your resume wtf confirm kena laugh at and your resume tossed into the trash.
This advice is legit. No idea why TS and others were bashing this guy.

If you're reaching 30 as a SIM tech graduate with no real relevant work experience to tech roles, your next best move is to:

1: Get internships or build side projects so that you have SOME relevant experience.
2: Exclude any details prior to your university start date. So if you went Poly in 2010 and started SIM university course at 2019, obviously don't include the Poly details in your resume because you won't be able to explain your 9 year gap during interviews.

But of course, TS doesn't want to do an internship because it will pull down his grades.

TS don't want to exclude details from his resume either because he thinks that HR can somehow find out that he's a 30 year old loser and not some typical average 23-26 year old fresh grad.

Maybe read the first few pages and recognize TS's stubbornness to genuine advices. Quite obvious as to why people troll TS after page 2 onward.
