Serious? that translates into a $13,000 ++/month! I thought this is the salary level for associate director/director above?
I am looking for a Analyst to AVP role.

I am currently in this industry. However do take note that such figures (160-200+k/annum) are normally attributed to prominent PE firms. Most of the buy-side analyst came from IB (M&A) experience (from associate level) wanting to attain a better work-life balance.
For fund management houses, pay range stated by those recruitment firms are pretty accurate. I would say a range of 4-8k for someone with 2-5 yrs experience. If you are able to contribute more to the firm besides only research, you might be able to demand for more.

whats the point of going for a buy-side job if all ur getting is a few thousand bucks? like that might as well join a normal corp finance job, easier, better working hrs and less stress.
