1. If you get mid year increment, very likely you will get year end increment as well. I join DBS in 06 and left in 2011. During that few years, I got 3x mid year increment
2. No. Your boss must fight for you or maybe that year your dept is doing big project

Bank pay so big range? Why some with so much exp getting like 3, 4k range. Others say start alr 5 plus or reaching 7k liao.
What is the standard..average at dbs?

Fresh grad pay:
3.9-4.6k for BO. MA program 4.8-6k. FO 7-9k

Corporate banking:
FO- 3-3.5k
BO- 2.5-3.0k

DBS is not an investment bank thats why the pay in their IB is lower than their corporate financing side, so the pay indicated is not surprising.

DBS does have an investment banking arm. Anyway 3.5k is totally off the rails for a IB even for a local bank, thats even lower than a Civil Service fresh grad with honors.

I meant their investment banking arm is not as established. Go take a look at OCBC's pay for their IB ppl. Similar to DBS where its lower than the other arms say corporate finance. For local banks its generally like this, but its the opposite for foreign banks
