Been with the Poly for more than 5 years now. Overall experience is positive. You start off rather lightly loaded but once you get your increments and esp when you move to a different pax, you'll be really expected to really perform if you want to continue moving upwards in salary and a good PB. Apart from teaching, you're expected to be involved in networking, projects, administration, student development etc.

Overall was it a positive experience? How is the workload, working environment, politics, etc? And what do you like or dislike most about being a poly lecturer? Many thanks!!

North (not far north) side also no letter. Really don't like the fact that they don't keep to the timeline they set themselves...

life will become super good once you become old bird (1-2 years), and efficient in delivering things (teaching, admin, special projects).
you can even disappear for a few hours sometimes. no one will notice.

Poly HR are sneaky bunch. Can report to CCS that they are colluding? Anti-competition.

After a few years, old bird will become dead wood. Doing the bare minimum. Some times disappear for a few days also no one notice. But i heard this is going to change as the top MOE people knows about the amount of dead wood in the jungle. Dead wood have to make way for cheaper, more efficient new plants.
