There is major restructuring and next year 1st half will happen. Its a big cut, as I thought as least my last pay can be matched, with industrial experience and masters. Would ITE be able to pay better (or at least lesser pay cut)? I had heard that 40 year old is the unofficial cut-off age for entering this line, can anyone confirm?

There is no official age cut off. I know of staff joining at age 50. No, ITE does not pay better.

Think no hope anything will be announced by end of year. Most bosses on leave anyway.

Today is Friday. Mon is half day for most ministry. So can conclude the increment rumour from ITE is a HOAX! BS!

Can also announce in January to take effect from Jan's pay. If still not announced in next 2 weeks, then I'm giving up hope... For now, patience is a virtue...

The rumour in NP is that the HR has received a reply from the ministry (dunno what sort of repl)......

Sucks, don't know what happen. ministry already give pay revision to more than half of civil servants.. now are they drag or not giving to poly staff? So we are not worthy of pay rise? Am waiting for 3 months already.

Hi guys, I read the entire thread as I have an upcoming interview next week in 1 of the polys up north. Is there a difference between Schools and Centres? This is for acad position in a centre. As this is only a prelim interview, can someone offer any tips on how to excel in it? Is there a need to do ppt presentation?

Based on my poly interview experiences, for prelim interview, you will be told on the expectations and job scope of your role in detail, and whether are you comfortable with it. Also you can describe about your experience as well. In 1 poly prelim I was asked to do a short presentation, but they will let you know beforehand as it is fair that you need prep time. The setting is a bit informal. But that was 2 years ago, not sure about now.
