Just to put some perspective to those starting pay posted here for current year...
my starting pay at a local gov't agency in 2000 as an IT engineer was 2700 per month

Yeah... shiattty bank. But the cheat you and tell you no bonus *it is actually in the contract* for the program period.

I graduated this year from NUS and am earning 2700. take-home pay is 2160.
540 goes to CPF plus employer contribute 400. Total CPF is 940 per month.
