not all ops is 5k/month, imo only GS is worth joining if you're content with ops. Does anyone know what is the expected salary progression in BB ops as opposed to local bank MA?

Building financial models, doing due diligence work at buy side may be interesting to you but might not be interesting to others. What matters the most is the freedom to do things that really interest you

5k a month but work from 9am to 8-10pm, worth??

If you're a high flyer (top 5%), you can make VP in 5 years. That is the fastest. But VP in 5 years only earns you about 8-9k.

Most ppl in the grad programme make VP in ~6 years drawing at least 9k base with 3 months bonus. All in about 135k+ which is frankly not too bad given the WLB and stress.

This ops convo is only for gs ops right? if gs ops is getting so much hate, am i right to say I shouldn't even consider local bank ops? (DBS/UOB)
